Alhamdulillah, we’re so happy to share a new section on our website: “From the Hearts of Our Students…”

This is a special space where students at Al Rawdah Academy reflect on their learning journeys with Sister Mariam. Journeys filled with knowledge, sincerity, and a deeper connection to the Qur’an.

We invite you to take a moment to read these heartfelt reviews and reflect on the beautiful ways the Qur’an can touch our lives.

I have had a truly excellent experience learning with Sister Mariam. She is extremely punctual and professional, always respecting the class schedul. Her manner of teaching is kind, patient, and highly effective. She possesses deep knowledge and delivers information in the simplest and most understandable way. I have greatly benefited from her lessons, and I highly recommend her to anyone seeking to learn the Qur’an with clarity, dedication, and sincerity.

I am taking Quran with Tajweed and Islamic studies classes with Sister Mariam and she’s helped me improve my Arabic reading skills and understand my religion as a revert. The way she puts together the classes are very easy to understand and keep up with. She’s very nice and is open to scheduling changes and always works with you! She’s an amazing teacher and friend, I am comfortable with asking and talking with her about anything, I truly appreciated that. I would recommend these classes with her to any sister seeking to learn, they are very much worth the time and effort

My heart is full of gratitude to Allah SWT first, and then to Sister Mariam and Sister Fatima. They are truly among those rare, kind souls whose goodness shines not only in their words but in the sincerity of their actions. They care with hearts full of iman, compassion, and genuine support.

My children have made remarkable progress in reading the Qur’an because of their special and thoughtful way of teaching. They give their time, effort, and love without expecting anything in return.

May Allah protect them, bless them, and reward them with Jannat al-Firdaws. Ameen. May Allah fill their days with ease, barakah, and endless goodness

I don’t think I can truly capture in words how deeply grateful I am for Ustadha Mariam and for the blessings that her classes have brought into my life, but I want to try. This experience has genuinely changed me, touched my heart, and reconnected me with Allah in a way I never imagined possible.

As a revert from Hinduism, stepping into Islam was both beautiful and overwhelming. I had so much love for the deen, but I also carried a lot of fear, fear of not being good enough, not knowing enough, not fitting in. But from the moment I entered Ustadha Mariam’s class, I felt welcomed, understood, and supported. She created a space that felt safe, encouraging, and full of noor. I knew instantly that Allah had guided me to her for a reason.

Before meeting Ustadha Mariam, I had tried learning Qaida with many teachers. But it was so difficult for me, so overwhelming, that I almost gave up. I felt discouraged because no matter how hard I tried, the letters just wouldn’t stick. I couldn’t recite anything, not even a single letter properly. I used to wonder if something was wrong with me, or if I would ever be able to read the words of Allah the way I dreamed of.

Then Allah placed Ustadha Mariam in my path.

From the very first class, something just clicked. She teaches with such patience, gentleness, and clarity that it felt like she was speaking directly to my heart. For the first time, Qaida made sense to me. For the first time, learning felt possible. We connected instantly, and that connection gave me hope I thought I had lost.

Today, I look back and get emotional every time I talk about it. Because I went from not being able to read even one letter to reciting actual words. Words from the book of Allah. Words I once thought I would never be able to pronounce. Every time I realize how far I’ve come, tears fill my eyes, not out of sadness, but out of gratitude. Allah gave me something I thought was beyond my reach.

And truly, so much of that blessing came through Ustadha Mariam. Her knowledge is deep, her teaching is clear, and her dedication is unmatched. She doesn’t just teach the material, she nourishes the soul. She inspires me to embrace Islam fully, to let go of the dunya, and to focus on what truly matters. Her classes make me want to be a better Muslim, a better person, and someone who spreads the beauty of Islam with sincerity and love.

Islam has become something so deep and meaningful to me. This deen fills my heart with peace in ways I never experienced before. And because of everything I’ve learned, I feel more connected to my faith and more eager to share its beauty with others.

I highly recommend Ustadha Mariam to anyone searching for a teacher who truly cares, who teaches with heart, and who knows how to reach her students. She has changed my life, and I will forever make dua for her.

Alhamdulillah for her! Alhamdulillah for this journey! And Alhamdulillah for the guidance that led me exactly where I needed to be.

My daughter has been a student of Sister Mariam for over 2 years. She does Quran and Arabic classes with her. Masha Allah she has come a long since Sister Mariam has started teaching her. She is patience and has a true love for teaching. May Allah reward Sister Mariam for all her efforts. May Allah put the love of the Quran in all our children hearts. Ameen!
